Spell this and Wow...

Today is May 31st. Holy Crap-oly! Summer is here. Can you believe that? I cant. It was just yesterday that I remember not doing anything on New Years, but enjoying my time with the family. Got another job in March and Now it is June. Time flies or drags when you are working. No plans for the summer for me, just hang out and work. Sept my cousin is getting married so all of my family are coming down from the east coast and staying with us. Its going to be hectic but fun. So let the good times roll.

I guess yesterday was the start of the National Spelling Bee Championships. And tonight is the end or the finals. I may have to go and watch it. I for one was not a good speller in grade school. I remember the last month or so before summer, our whole class would stand up, and form a circle around the room. The teacher would start with whoever was to her left and ask us to spell a word. If you got it right you remained standing. If you go it wrong you sat down. The prize for winning was candy or something like that. It was fun yet nerve wracking at the same time. In our spelling books, there were three sections with words that varied difficulty. So you never knew which word you would be getting. I think I lasted a few rounds. I never did get the candy though. It was times like those that helped break up the routine of going to school. It actually made school fun. The good old days of grade school. Where your only worries were studying for spelling tests, learning your math, and reading several books during the summer. Those were the good times.

Gamers near and far Unite

Here is a story from Joystiq.com about a video gamer and a hero. Who says that Video Gamers are violent!

"24-year old Adam Mapleson is an IT consultant, a fan of heavy metal music, an avid video gamer, and a hero. At a rail station just yesterday, Adam came to the aid of a terrified female security guard being robbed by two armed thugs. As he went to tackle the assailants, he was shot in the chest, close-range. According to a witness, blood was "all over the floor and all over the wall" as Adam lay on the ground calling for help.

The robbers managed to escape, but Adam's heroism ensured no one else was injured, including the intended victim. Adam is still in the hospital listed as "serious but stable". Here's to a speedy recovery for an all-around hero and fellow gamer."

Get Well Soon Man!! and GOOD JOB!!!

Technology Part 2

This is the second part of my journey into technology. Have a seat, sit back and roll with me.

"After college, it was more about what to do with my life, finding a job and getting out of debt." The first month of being fresh out of college was a satisfying time in my life. I just finished a 4 year college that started in 1996, moved all my stuff back home and enjoyed the time I had during the days to do nothing. That lasted for about a good 2 weeks or so until my mom came down on me to look for a job. It felt like that scene in FRIDAY, where Craig's dad told him, "The word of the day is JOB. J.O.B" For those of you who didn't watch FRIDAY, Craig, ICE CUBE, got fired on his day off for stealing boxes. His dad found out and wanted him to get another job. So anyway, mom tells me to go and look for a job. So I look and look. No Experience no Job. No Job no Experience. Those looking for a job knows that conundrum all too well. So, I am not sure where I saw this ad, but I went and attended a group interview in the valley. I got the job and came home excited. At dinner I told my mom, I got a job or at least a job offer. She asked me what I was going to be doing. I told her, I'll be selling knives!! haha Yup, I got an interview with this small husky ex-body builder with a neck the size of Chun Li's thighs selling knives. The thought of just getting a job exited me but I turned the job down. I guess it wasn't for me. So there I sat for the last weeks of May looking for jobs. Then, a college friend asked me to lunch in June. Her and I were in most of the same business classes and she was working as the purchasing person at LMU. We had lunch and she said that she needed help and asked me if I wanted to help. The clouds from above parted and the light at the end of the tunnel shone through. This was the job opportunity I had hoped for. Once this job started, it opened a whole new scene for me. Technology mixed with Gadgets.

It wasn't until my friend from college, who helped me get this job, left for home in Denver that gadgets started to consume my life. Since I took over, I needed some help also. So I asked Marc to come and help me out. The mixture of his knowledge and my gadget fever turned into a great devotion for all things electronic. I think Marc and I worked at LMU together for about a year or so before A/R said they were doing away with contractors. The time him and I worked, we saw lots of cool gadgets come through our way. With money coming in, we both got the Handspring Visor from Best Buy. That was one of the first PDA's that came out. In the office, we also saw, an HP Windows PDA, another first. We saw all kinds of Digital cameras, Dell's first PDA, tablet pcs, speakers, laptops and desktops. We were in heaven. We could see and get mostly anything that was on the web. It was fun living vicariously through other peoples' indulgences. As Marc moved on to bigger and better things, I was stuck in my job, but was loving every minute of it. Again there were some firsts. Saw the first iMac that looked like a lamp shade, the mac mini, gateway's tablet pc, projectors, more cameras, PDAs and mp3 players. I got / saw some ipods ipod minis dell jukeboxes and other mp3 players. It was also at this time that I started my cell phone collection and the "trying out" of various cell phone carriers. During the LMU period, I tried all the phone carriers, Sprint, Nextel, Verizon, ATT&T, Cingular, and Helio. Got all the new phones that came out, The sidekick all 4 editions of the model, Treos, camera phones, smart phones and blackberries. It was with this addiction that things got out of control. What made it out of control was the fact that I had no loans to pay off at the time and my net worth was greater than my debt. But soon, my debt would be greater then my net worth.

If I could go back in time and not "spend" as much, I would have. But since I don't have a machine that can do that, I will just look at my cell phone collection and smile. Take a look around my room and there are gadgets everywhere. Some I still have to hook up. Some that are old but still work. If I had the time and money, I would build a room dedicated to all the electronics, cell phones and gadgets that have come into my possession throughout the years. Those were the times where I came to the conclusion that I was part of the technology craze!

Well Hell.....

The count down has begun, well because I need to do something before I start to fall asleep! Its Friday 4:56pm at the start of a 3 day holiday weekend. Most everyone in the world has probably left work by now. But I am here as the lonely side kick reporting on whats going on. And what is really going on? Nothing! have you not read the first few sentences? Everyone has gone home! Any way, let's see. Today for lunch a co worker and I went to Olympia! Sounds like a good strip club but alas it is an "Authentic Lebanese and Mediterranean Cuisine" aka good kabobs!! However you come out smelling like kabobs which in most cases is a bad thing. I don't know how many people read this, wish a lot of people did but from the looks on the comments, it looks like NO ONE Reads it! OH WELL!! Maybe one day! Oh ya, in regards to kabobs the rest of the day you are burping up kabobs. Yah, thats gross whatever. NO ONE READS THIS ANYWAYS! Ok, so I have 30 mins left. Thank goodness. I could use a break.

Ok, so I googled my name and there are a lot of Me's out there. Its crazy. maybe I should change my name to something else. ANY IDEAS??

I guess I am not alone in the world.

Ok well this will have to do. Im outtie!! One Love

Dont you wish....

Dont you wish your cat can do this!!! HAPPY FRIDAY!!

like it says, from College Humor!

Its Friday!!!

Yup its that day of the week that all workers love some MUCH!! ITS FRIDAY!!!! YAY!! and on top of that its PAY DAY!! WOW!! this is one of the best combos there is besides PB&J. So its 10 am, and Ive been a busy bee. Ive updated and printed out the reports that I need for todays Meeting. Go ME!! On my 2nd cup of Coffee!! and I have a bagel waiting for me to eat it!! Yummy!! But as soon as the coffee wears off and the bagel is gone, I'll still be up and running cause its Friday!! ok Enough of that. Sorry folks.

I found a cool little plug in for Firefox that allows GMail to have HTML signatures. Before this, gmail never allowed HTML Signatures on their email client. But now they do. I tried it and it works. You should try it too if you use gmail. If you dont have one, I can give you an invite. Just let me know. Here is the link to the site that provides the info you need to add the HTML Signature on your GMail account. HTML Email Signature

Mmm...the first bite of a fresh bagel is always good.

So what is everyone doing this weekend?? I forgot...This is a 3 Day weekend!! man it keeps getting better. Any ways, lets see, all I know for now is a Bbq on Monday at my parents house for my mom's friends / ex coworkers from another job. It will be nice to see them. I havent seen them in a while. You see when I was growing up, I saw them all the time or heard about them. Thats all I knew about my mom's job. That she was an accountant for a cosmetics company run by Guillette and worked with these ladies. Pretty fun times. Now my mom works for another company. This is supposed to be her "part time job" since she retired from the other job. But in her nature she can't stop working so she is there in a full time status, and she actually got promoted. She is on her 4th year or so there. So much for a "part time" job. I think that if the incident that happened to me at LMU didnt happen I'd still be there till I died. I got so caught up or comfortable there I feared leaving. So I guess in a way it was good for me.

I talked to Marc the other day and he is contemplating moving back to the valley. He now lives in a city a stone throws away from Mexico. I think I went to visit him about 2 times or so. It is one of those weekend trips you have to plan out. But at least his gf is living a little closer so thats good. Any ways, he said if he moved back to the valley he asked if I wanted to live with him. That would be cool. I think his parents have a house somewhere in the valley that is being rented out. If that happens that would be cool. We always talked about if we had a place together it would be all techno'd out. Ya know, wireless, computers everywhere, tv's and all the game systems you can imagine. So that would be hella cool. I just wont bring my bed with me. That Mo'fo was a little son of a gun to bring to the apt and back. It is one of those memory foam beds that is 1. heavy as all hell and 2. Awkward to carry. if you stand it horizontally it will fall. Vertically, it will fall. So if I move, it is staying in my old room!

So hopefully I can save enough money. June will be a no money spending month and a all studying month. Unless the Curve comes out, which it will some time this month or early June. Same with the iPhone. But I wont get that one yet..haha Well the bagel is gone, coffee is almost done. And I think we can close another Friday Chapter. TGIF To everyone!! One Love!

OK....

So you may be wondering wtf is going on? Well, if some of you know me, I don't like change went it comes to my life or routine, but I do like change when it comes to my gadgets. Well here you go. I took my blogs and brought them to another site. However, that site didn't give me what I wanted so I moved back to this site. However, from the 2nd site, I got the notion of a new title and I couldnt use the new title on an old site. So hence, the change in both the name of the addy, the title of my blog and everything else. The only things that havent changed are the blogs themselves! Make sense?? Hope so!

ok. Well here is a picture that I found on a website Tokyomango which the author found somewhere else. She reports on everything Japan, so I was intrigued from the get go. For those of you who dont know, I am a gadget freak. But besides that, I want to go where the good technology is and Japan is the right spot for that. Hence my infactuation with Japan and or going to Japan. Hell I set up a savings account specifically for my Japan Trip. Which will have to include airfare, lodging, food, entertainment, and of course buying an extra luggage for all the electronics and phones that I will be picking up. And if they dont work here it doesnt matter. As long as I have them. :) Ok so I side tracked. here is the pic that I borrowed and now use as my desktop background. It is pretty cool!! and My growing love for all Things Mario....ITS AMEE MARIOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its Mario!!! and Peach!! its pretty cool. Not the nice and warm fuzzy feelings you usually get from playing or seeing Super Mario. But its cool. I like this edgier side of it. It has the coins and the ? mark boxes. Its pretty cool. They also have the piranna Plants that always bite the crap outta me!! and Of course the Vine that usually goes up to a cloud rode of Coins. But it looks like its going to a dark cold place!!

Thoughts about Religion...

What is Religion?

From Wikipedia: A religion is a set of beliefs and practices generally held by a community, involving adherence to codified beliefs and rituals and study of ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction.

My Def? I would have to agree that it is a set of beliefs and practices but that it is done either with a community or as an individual. From me, I am a Catholic. Ive gone to private school since I was in kindergarten all the way through my college days. Being from a Filipino background (which has a high percentage of Catholics) added to my religious beliefs. But you can only believe for so long. It comes a point in ones life to branch out and learn other things. You have to keep an open mind while keeping firm to your beliefs. Through my life, I have met and experienced practices from the Muslim faith, the Jewish faith, Buddhism, Taoism, Wicca, Catholic, Christian, Atheists, and Agnostics. I have learned about Buddhism and have also learned and read up on the Wicca Religion. None of these have undermined what I believe. But what all of these have done is broaden my beliefs and practices. Yes I go to church on Sunday, or at least I try to. I try to be good help those in need. But I have learned also to respect nature, believe in meditation and enlightenment.

So, I would say that my religion is a foundation of beliefs influenced by other worldly experiences. There is no one true religion to me. It is a building upon the beliefs that I have with those who surround me.

Not much....

so today is Monday again..haha damn the weekend goes by so fast. lets see...Friday.....drawing a blank. I think I went to my sister's house for dinner. hell she only lives 10mins from work. Might as well. Plus they have the Wii so its all good. Sat...went to go see Shrek the Third. It was an ok movie. I think the only time I laughed really hard was when the showed the preview for THE SIMPSONS movie!! WOOOHOOOO!!! but a funny part in the movie which is also in the preview so dont be bitching at me for ruining it.is when the ginger bread man gets scared and poops out a gum drop!! that was funny as crap!! for me any ways..you know I got a sick humor. Who else would have laughed in the movies when the Titanic went down and the guys falling looked like a pinball hitting all those bumpers. Its some funny shit!! haha so anywho, after the movies we went to the mall. I picked up Pokeman Diamond!WOHOO!! and I caught me a pysduck!!! he's crazy!! but my main pokeman is a chimchar, a monkey who has a flame on its tail. He learned how to burn his opponets. That is cool I burn them all the time. Then he learned this cool 1 hit punch that knocks the crap outta his opponents. He also learned rock throw, where he throws a big ass rock at the guys head! haha then he evolved into MonFuego!! thats a cool name!! so yah, picked that up, using my credits since I sold some of my games to them. Then I went to my sister's house for some bbq!! WOHOO! good stuff, burgers and korean bbq..yum yum. then i met it with lissa at her sister in laws house. Nice house. Its pretty cool. stayed there for a while, watching zoolander!! HAHA funny movie!! "what is this...a center for ANTS!!!" it was good times. Her baby woke up and i watched her for a while..she's cute. Sunday, went to go see my nephew's track meet. He did well. got 2 first place in 2 relays and a 4th place in the 2 hundred and the 1 hundred. it was a good day spent. Then Lissa came to visit with her family. That was cool. My sister and mom said it was very nice of her to come out. they were happy. and they loved the baby..i told ya'll she is a cutie pie. We then went to church and had a family dinner at my sister's house. then my other nephew challenged my dad to a bowling match game? on the Wii...so that what we did till we had to go home. At home I watched the last 2 mins of the simpsons 1st episode and the whole 2nd episode, and part of family guy, then i fell asleep!! haha man. you know you are tired or old when you are watching TV and you fall asleep. OH wells. Just another weekend for me. And next weekend is memorial day!!WOHOO!! 3 day weekend!! PARTY ON WAYNE!!! so now its 930am and no one is in the office except me and another developer. other than that..no one!! scary!!

well I will try and take more pics with my picture phone yay, and post them to my flikr account. If you dont know what that is, then sucks to be you..haha but it should be linked in the homepage of this blog..if not i'll re do it.

Back from lunch...

2 MF blogs in one day..haha I must be bored. Hell I guess this is better than falling asleep but the day is young so we'll see how well I hold up. My co worker and I went to get some Thai food. Damn that was good. I had a combo plate of Thai chicken, spicy chicken and fried rice. it was hella good. and hella spice. I was dropping bullets of sweat...ok maybe not bullets but it got a little spicy for me, but a good kind of spicy.

So I really would like to go on a vacation. I think I deserve one. After all my hard work and stuff. haha j/k about the hard work, but I would like to have a vacation. OH VACATION GODS!! GIVE ME A VACATION!! hell i'll take a weekend trip outta the valley if I could. I just sent Jamie a text cause she took a half day off today to go to Laughlin Nv for her cousins 30th birthday!! LUCKY!! I want to go..haha woah...30 eh?? hmmm...looks like next year I'll be 30, if I can help it..haha but I think being 30 will be ok with me. Just another number even though Im getting old!! I can remember when I was still in grade school, 7th-8th grade. In my electives I was a tutor..and our group would go to the lower grades and help tutor those who needed help. Aww back in the days. But now if you ask me for help i'll tell you to F off!! haha j/k. I hope i wont do that. I think I would say.yest. and help you out. anyway, 30, the magic number. I want a big party with cake and ice cream and video games and a magician!! maybe david blane so i can have him levitate and kick him in the groin for scaring the crap out of me cause he levitated. and Id invite all my friends all 2 of them!! hahaha and we can party all day and night..yay!! haha Man im losing my mind. but i did like the part of me kicking David Blane in the groin!! haha that was fun. Try and make that disappear!!

SO yah, another few hours of work and im free to do whatever I want. but what will i do..I want to get the new Neyo cd..heard it was good all the songs. and maybe a cool hat and sunglasses..haha I dont know. I just need a change. I will see what I can do.

My Ass is on FIRE!!!!!

haha That was from one of the Dj's on the radio. Every Friday they play this montage of the funniest clips from that week while singing this song about Cali. I remember every Friday listening to that song on the radio on my way to work. It gives me chills everytime i hear it. I also pumps me up for a good hour or so so that I can get to work and be at work on time. Nothing like good old music to get the heart pumping. There is not much going on today but it is only the morning. I think I need to move closer to my friends. They are hella far away. Moving back to the valley was not a decision I wanted to make. It was something I had to do. If not, I dont know where I would be living. So anywho, me being back in the valley, with only a couple of friends still living here. Everyone else has moved out, living in LA. Living the dream!! haha whatever that dream maybe. I cant complain. I see them once in a while. I dont mind the trip down to see them but with gas prices going up, I just dont know. Stupid gas prices. I think I fill up at $51 or so dollars. That is with my car running on fumes, giving me that light that says " if you dont fill up im going to not work and a big semi truck is going to hit you from behind" so with that, I pull into the next gas station. So ya, $50 + to fill up, and that is with the lowest grade. I know my friend, she just bought a new car. and she has to fill up with the highest grade cause she is baller status like that. Any who, i think they spent about $80 to fill up!! damn!! that is like 3 hours of work just to fill up gas! haha ok maybe not, but still. Crazy!! STUPID GAS STUFF!! LOWER YOUR DAMN PRICES ALREADY!!!

I like that Purple color..Purple Purple!! haha I think im losing my mind!! So on my way to work, if im not talking to jamie, im singing along with my cds and talking to myself. Is that normal?? I really hope so. if not, i guess i'll be going to the Looney bin or whatever that thing is called. I dont know, padded walls where I can run and jump at the walls and not get hurt? Good idea!! but knowing me and my joints, id hurt something!! blah!! haha DAMN THESE GENES!!!! See purple again. That is a reccuring theme today..yay!!

So Marc is playing bball in a league with a bunch of people. he is one of THOSE people who live NOT in the valley!! haha anywho, he got me thinking and wanting to play ball again. I havent played since forever. I think since 2001 or so when our group of friends get together on thanksgiving and play ball. Anywho, that day hurt me..haha I couldnt walk for the rest of the weekend. I may have to get new shoes. But that could change since i wear New balances now. These shoes seem to fit me better so that is good. So I am thinking that I may go grab or buy and new basketball and slowly get myself back into bball shape. Ive been doing the eliptical machine, but that doesnt help with jumping and shooting. I know for a fact that Once you havent run or jumped for a while, you have to retrain your body to do that. So that will be a summer project. Try to run and jump with the best of them. That way, I wont get bored with lifting and just play some basketball. We'll see. GOOD LUCK TO ME!! A different purple! NICE!!

This is one of the longest free flowing blogs I have ever made. Cool. Im happy with that and with myself right now. I guess im just happy to be here. I have good friends and a great family. so its all good. now i just have to go and meet some new female friends. Not looking for love I have found her but lost her. but Im looking for some females to just chill with.

Anywho, I have been somewhat good at not spending on frivolous stuff. So to show my support since I am my own backer, I went out and got some stu
ff from thinkgeek. Not a lot of stuff, but just some new toys. like this cool bluetooth receiver. It is basically a regular telephone receiver but without the wires!! pretty cool!! and I got some super mario stuff for the office. its all good. Im happy about it. You can see the phone below!! Im a GEEK!! YAY! It doesnt matter. Just as long as I am happy.

Ok well I think I am done for today. I have emptied my brain from all this free thought. ITS FRIDAY. I GOT A JOB BUT I AINT GO SHIT TO DO!! have a good weekend!! PURPLE!!
One LOVE !

Thinking back on things.....

"Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption." - Frank Sinatra

Ive made mistakes in the past. Done things without thinking them through. But I have also done things with thinking them through, thinking that they were the best option at that time. and after all that is said and done, you know you were wrong. How do you go and fix that mistake? Or can you? can you go back to before you made that mistake? I dont really think you can. You can only build from what has happened in the past and move forward.

I say this not because I am lonely or sad, but because I miss what I have had and I want it back. For reasons only I know, I made the hard decision to break up with a wonderful, caring and beautiful lady. and ever since that day, I have had not one day go past that I have not thought about her. I think about her smile, her beautiful captivating eyes. The smell of her as she moves past you. I want that back, but I dont know if I will ever get back. I talk to her, not on the phone but on-line, for I cant even get myself to call her. I'm just weird like that. I just dont know what to do. I can go on with my life as if nothing has happened. I have done it before. but this is different. I just can not put into words or even fathom what is really going on. So i leave with the rest of the song...

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

Heavy lifting.....

It has been a while maybe since Ive written here. So lets just talk about stuff thats been happening with me.....wait a min....oh yah, nothing!! haha I Have no life!! YAY! so here are the things that I have been trying to do to be all that I can be! haha

I dont know if many of you know this but I have this thing called gout. it scary I know but bare with me. it basically is a large quantity of uric acid build up in your body. Normal being at about 6, and mine was at 10 or some crap. So any, what this build up does, is create these crystals in your joints, starting with your big toe and can move all over the place. So, after I left my former job, and while doing nothing but chilling and watching tv and look for work, it hit me hard. It started with my knee, then my foot. I was put on crutches for a while. Then it hit my wrist and shoulder. This went on for about 2 months straight. From the middle of Dec to about Feb when my doc appointment finally came up. Thank goodness for doctors. he gave me meds and I was back to normal sort of. Any way, the pain of this arthritis is so unbearable that all I wanted to do was die. It was crazy. I think those 2 months affected my mind. I dont think I am the same person. But i think that is a good thing.

So that brings me to my point, which is that after all this, I have and I am dedicating my life to a somewhat healthier lifestyle!! YAY!! so for the past few weeks, Ive been on the ellipitcal machine building up my stamina. I remember when I could go on for about a min and be like "Ok im done" Know i can go on for a while, maybe 20mins..which is ok. Then yesterday I started this circuit training where I lift weights for my back, then chest, then shoulders, then hop on the elliptical machine for about 1-2mins, rest for about 30sec or so, then repeat this cycle for 3 sets. Once I get used to it, i'll go for more sets and vary the lifting techniques. So that is my routine for now.

Also with gout, it comes from eating a lot of foods which I like to eat. I have to avoid red meat and shellfish and all this other stuff. So, since Dec, I have had red meat about 4 times or so. That means no more steaks or burgers or anything like that. Which is ok. It was hard at first, but Im used to it. I dont need it or crave it so thats good. Thank goodness though that I am allowed to have sushi, just none that has shell. So its all good. I vowed to myself that I will not feel the way I did back in Dec. That was the worse feeling ever. Plus you feel so helpless and needy and there was nothing anyone could do about it. It was one of those life changing experiences. I will never forget it.

This has taught me to be more aware of what is going on with my body and to be healthy and to live as long as I can. I couldnt have done it without the help of my family and friends. So thanks!!

Someone Needs to make this..

A Simpson's First person shooter (FPS). That would be great. I was reading on Crave, a tech-blog for Cnet, and it was about EA making a new Simpson's game in line with the movie coming out next spring or something like that. Any way, I commented like I do on the site, and decided to try and go into more depth here. So if those of you who like the Simpson's, comment and add anything you would like to see on this new FPS game.
Setting: Springfield with other locations (maps) to unlock or load via the Internet. The city and everything in the map is user friendly. This means that you can play or enter buildings, jump on statues or benches. Anything in the environment is playable and will also be affected by gun play. For instance, if you say, throw a grenade at an enemy and they are near a trashcan and a light post, the trashcan and light post will fall down/ blow up, just as the grenade blows up. Or if you see an enemy walking past a store front, and you shoot him/her with a high caliber gun, then that person would get throw backwards through the glass window.
Playable Characters: Of course you can play as anyone of the characters you see from the TV series. From Bart to Homer, even Maggie if you want. You can be Sideshow Bob, or the Bee-Man. Or Ralph Wiggum or Lunch lady Doris. So any characters that you have seen in the show you can play. Of course with each character comes special abilities. If you play a kid, you will of course be some what faster and more agile. If you play as one of the mafia characters or police officers your aim is a little better. Just some small abilities but each character can win at any time or any day.

Weapons: Taking some characteristics from Crackdown for the Xbox game, any "movable" objects can be used as weapons. Let's say you shoot a parked car and it blows up or flips over and an enemy is right next to it. That explosion or flip of the car can hurt the enemy.
Here are some basic Weapons and Variations of these Basic Weapons that could be used or found in the game:

Vehicles: Unlike other FPS games except for a few, this one will allow characters to hop on any vehicle found in the game / cartoon. You have your basic cars (Simpson car), marge's SUV, scooters, tanks, and the duff blimp.

Storyline: Not much of a story line. This is a straight multi player FPS game. Death matches, Co-op, Capture the flag. But mostly it focuses on the FPS shoot em up type of games. Where you get a group of friends together, link up some game systems and fight it out.
Technology: This may be far fetched but by linking game systems up, you can have this large about of shooting madness throughout a house on any platform. Lets say, that there are 3 TVs in the house. There are 3 different game systems connected to those TVs. Just pop in the Simpson's FPS Game into each console and load up the game. From there, it will find any game system via electrical outlet / configuration of that house, and link each system up. Once all 3 game consoles have been identified and loaded, the match begins with as many players as the game consoles and fit.

So this will be the game of the future if anyone decides to build upon it. I chose the Simpson's just because they have a game coming out. But also because I like the series. So if there are any comments or adjustments you may want to make, let me know.

What Video Games have taught me......

Video games have taught me the following:

I can shoot ducks out in a field.
I can use a robot to help me move pillars up and down while I eat cake.
I can use a paddle to hit a ball to another paddle.
or Use that paddle to hit a ball to break bricks.
I can use UUDDLRLRBA Select Start to get 100 guys for killing aliens.
I can use my block manipulating skills to erase lines 1 at a time or 4 at a time.
I can use pills of different colors to kill and dispatch of viruses.
I can run a town full of animals and fish and meet new friends.
I can use my shooting skills to get a head shot of my enemies
or fail and fall off a ledge.
I can absorb mushrooms and become as tall as I want or as small as I want.
I can use my driving skills to run down street felons, create crashes of mass proportion or win the gold medal against all comers.
I can shoot and beat up bad guys along with good guys. Either way I win.
I can use my problem solving skills to get rid of colored blocks.

All these skills I have learned from playing video games. However it doesn't make me a violent person. I make myself a violent person, if I choose too. And at this moment, I choose not to be a violent person. Not yet at least! :)

There have been times in my life

There have been times in my life where I really didn't know what I was / am doing with my life. right now is no exception. I however, plan on making some right choices. Hopefully. I sent an email message to my old friend asking to forgive me for a few things that I have done in the past. I am not sure if I will be forgiven let alone talk to them again. I wish that was not the case but it may seem a bit too late. So with that, I want to say to you, publicly on this blog, that I am truly sorry for what I have done. I miss you and wish we could still be friends.
I am trying to focus on work but with little to do it is hard to do that. So I have spent some time posting in some forums, i guess that is my new hobby. Other than that, I have been reading blogs, mainly about hacking my life. What is that? Just trying to get things organized and having a better grasp on what I am doing with my life. Making my life flow a little bit better. One way to start is to de-clutter my living area. I still live at home for financial reasons, racked up lots of debt while working at my previous job, so staying home is beneficial to me. Excess items must go. Trading up un-used video games for store credit and getting new games that I will play. Donating clothing that I don't wear or will ever wear or clothes that are old and tattered. They are just taking up space any ways. I just need to get my self more involved with helping other people. In any way I can. If that means getting rid of stuff that I have, that i don't need, then so be it. I know it is not a sacrifice, but maybe this will help me lead to sacrificing for people without any benefit to me. Except to make my self feel better. I don't want to die and have people say to each other, what the hell did this guy every do for me. I don't want to be known as the guy who was selfish, but selfless. We'll see how that goes. Other than that, I am not sure what I am going to do. Maybe make a workstation area for me so that I can start studying. I am looking into getting my MCSE along the way. Maybe in hardware since that is what I like the most. So wish me luck. I hope the next few blogs wont have a longer lag to them.

Last Night....

So last night was the first night I had dinner with my parents since about a month give or take a day after they left for the Philippines. it is great to have them home. I find that I have to do less work than when they were not at home. That is sad but what can I do? after i get home from work, the fish/dog have already been fed, and the trash has been taken out. So any ways, after dinner they went to the hospital to visit their friend. I went out to pick up a few supplies. The main supply that I picked up was a Moleskine notebook. Basically it is a small black notebook into which i can write down lists of projects, needs / wants, or anything that I deem appropriate. This time I am going to write down a lot of things and hopefully get a lot of items accomplished. I need to do this for me. This way I can be a more well rounded responsible person.
Today is Friday and the boss it out of the office. I am just sitting around checking my forums and blogs. Not a lot is going on. Just waiting for those small fires come pop up so that I can eliminate them. So we shall see what happens today. Yesterday I created a new background for my PC. I like it. OK well i think that is it for now.

Technology

Hmmm, I remember back in the day when I was in high school. I would have to write up reports and papers using nothing more than the encyclopedia. we didn't have the Internet back then, or we did but it wasn't really popular. If i try and remember, my dad had a program called Prodigy that took him to the Internet or some thing like that. The Internet wasn't popular at the time, or it was but I didn't care about it. In high school, the closest we came to a computer was learning to type on the computer. That was 9th grade for me. We had some type of media class in the computer room. All I remember was creating a Pac-man like flip book using PowerPoint. that was cool. I had each slide with the same background, but the key characters i.e. pacman, the ghosts, and the pellets, each moved with the slides. It was cool. I got a good grade on that project. Then college started. That is where I first really interacted with the Internet and the computer for the most part. Back then the computer was used to type out reports and papers. But at college (mainly in my 2nd year), with the computer plugged into the Internet, it was more about chat rooms, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and of course pron. But for the most part it was me chatting away in different chat room and instant messengers. the whole experience was fun. I would enjoy chatting with friends that I have made all over the U.S and parts of Canada also. As far as I can remember college was for parties, good friends, becoming independent and the Internet. After college, it was more about what to do with my life, finding a job and getting out of debt.
